As well as expeditions such as cycling round the world, walking across India and rowing the Atlantic, Alastair was named as a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for his pioneering work on the concept of microadventures, trying to encourage people to get outside, get out of their comfort zone, go somewhere they’ve never been. A microadventure is an adventure that is close to home, cheap, simple, short, and yet very effective.
While using OpenShift you might want to get a “sysadmin” view of your environment, as well as monitoring, service discovery, inventory chargeback, security enhancements, reportings… All these functionalities can be provided via the CMP. During the session, we will cover all these points as well as have a discussion about how to get information about the workloads running on OSP from CloudForms Experience from the field: CF deployments During this session we will discuss the experience of deploying CloudForms in 20+ different POCs across different countries, layout, challenges, and providers giving real-world examples. We will cover the most common scenarios, tips & tricks, most requested use cases, typical challenges, where to go to find extra information and much more Manage multiple OSP Regions Chargeback Inventory Improve security and user´s RBAC Monitoring We will do a live demo to demonstrate all these functionalities We will discuss the added value provided by the CMP as well as the pain points, challenges, and situations that solve on OSP We will perform a short presentation follow up by an open discussion about how Hybrid Clouds are understood by customers today, and how have they actually implemented: the inception, the deployment, and the deployment´s roadmap.

Data is spread throughout organizations in various big data and traditional stores such as Apache Hadoop, relational databases and NoSQL stores such as MongoDB. Integrating and transforming data from these disparate stores can be a challenge to access or productively use. The difficulty of making this data accessible to external applications, such as analytics and business intelligence software, can be a barrier to effectively leveraging these technologies to extract valuable and actionable information from the data. JBoss Data Virtualization helps solve this problem by allowing for simultaneous access to these disparate stores.
It is clear that Ansible is one of the preferred configuration management tools by the community. During this session, we will cover the integration between CloudForms and Ansible, as well as the typical deployment scenarios and what be achieved with this integration. We will provide some useful links and tips to help you with these deployments!
Join this sesssion to learn how changing Virtualization and Cloud market create new opportunities to sell into datacenters where previously significant investments might have be made in to VMWare virtualization and management portfolio.
One of the most common mobile business transformational projects we see today are in the category of Remote Workforce Management. These types of applications enable the management of a company's resources employed at or en route to the property of clients, rather than on company property.
Typically it contains a client app for the offsite end user and a management web portal console for managing the resources, assigning tasks and reporting. Examples include locating vehicles, managing worker activity, scheduling and dispatching work, ensuring driver safety, and integrating the management of such activities with inventory, billing, accounting and other back-office systems.
Recognising this trend and understand the modularity of the components of the solutions, at Red Hat Mobile we’ve developed an Open Source project called RainCatcher. RainCatcher is a set of Modules that allows for the composition of a bespoke Workforce Management solutions. The modules build on the capabilities already available in the Mobile Platform, such as Data Synchronization. Come and hear more about RainCatcher and how you can build your own solutions or get involved in the project.
